About Us
MakingMoneyWithYourMusic.com is a website about, well, making money with your music. It's main focus so far is on music licensing and resources for the independent musician to get their music placed on TV shows and in movies to generate passive income for years to come. Secondarily, we hope to begin adding content about marketing one's music online and making money through that channel.
MY STORY I read a LOT about the music business, music promotion, and basically anything on how to make it as a successful musician. My band has recorded a few cd’s, which I work on in my spare time and I ended up having one of my songs used in a network TV show, which made more money, with much less effort, than everything else I had been doing. When I get interested in something, I get obsessed and learn everything I can about it. So that’s what I did. I read everything I could get my hands on concerning music licensing. I took what I learned and put it all down in one place, mostly as a guide to help others so they don’t have to spend all the time I did researching this stuff, but also partly as a reference that I can and do refer to myself.
